The rescue/ support unit is a standout in our fleet. Licensed as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) response unit, it is also equipped with specialized scene rehab and multi-patient gear as well as a variety of other tools.
Off-Road capability
Our 6×6 all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is customized for responses involving heavily wooded areas and trails, or just plain difficult locations. The rear bed is designed for safe patient extraction to an awaiting ambulance for transport.
FLOOD/ SWIFTWATER RESPONSE
With portions of our service area being prone to flooding, some of our paramedics and EMTs are trained in swiftwater rescue.
Team members are issued specialized protective equipment and provided with tools that enable them to respond to a variety of water related incidents.
We are a state certified team through Pennsylvania’s Voluntary Rescue Service Recognition (VRSR) program.
EXTERNAL TEAMS
Outside of SouthBridge, our providers have the opportunity to serve on response teams, such as technical rescue and tactical law enforcement.
